Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth is a Thai billionaire entrepreneur and the founder and chairman of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), the largest private hospital operator in Thailand. He was born on May 26, 1935 in Chonburi Province, Thailand.
Prasert started his career as a physician before entering the business world as a medical equipment distributor. He founded BDMS in 1969 and the company went public in 1993. BDMS operates more than 40 hospitals throughout Thailand and has expanded its operations to other countries in Asia.
